No, contrary to what most people think, LASIK Surgery is generally painless. Anaesthetic eye drops will be administered to numb the eyes during the procedure, and most people only face minor discomfort after the procedure, while the eyes are healing.
You may experience mild discomfort, and your eyes may get teary or watery.
Additionally, you may experience light sensitivity and your vision may be
hazy/blurry. Most symptoms should resolve within the first few days after
surgery.
If you experience severe pain, or your symptoms get worse instead of better, you
should contact your doctor immediately.
